Sustainability, quality and enjoying work.<\/p><p>We set up the\u00a0 Artesans dels Avalls project during 2020, in the middle of our estate in the neighborhood of Can Vila, between the villages of Terrades, Boadella and Les Escaules, in the Alt Empord\u00e0 region.<\/p><p>The Puig dels Avalls, part of the Serra dels Avalls, dominates the orography of the area, and gives its name to our company &#8211; a privileged and at the same time little know rea.<\/p><p>We started our project with a pioneering spirit to provide high quality artisanal products, made with local products, mixing our English roots with our love for the Catalan land.<\/p><p>We currently produce six varieties of artisanal cheeses, all from raw cow\u2019s milk.<\/p><p><strong>Tomme de Terrades:<\/strong> Named after the village of Terrades, ths is a french style tomme from the Pyrenees.<\/p><p><strong>Blau del Mas:<\/strong> A blue cheese inspired by Shropshire Blue, a relative of Stilton.<\/p><p><strong>El Clar dels Avalls:<\/strong> A Caerphilly type cheese, originally from Wales.<\/p><p><strong>L&#8217;Eixart:<\/strong> Based on the traditional, and well known Cheshire, from the north of England.<\/p><p><strong>Xedol\u00ed:\u00a0<\/strong>Based on English Cheddar.<\/p><p><strong>Roig Les Escaules:<\/strong> Named after the eighbouring village of Les Escaules, this is our version of the popular Red Leicester.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-c28e3c4\" data-id=\"c28e3c4\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0df88eb elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"0df88eb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"667\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artesansdelsavalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMGL0891.jpg\" class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-image-534\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.artesansdelsavalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMGL0891.jpg 667w, https:\/\/www.artesansdelsavalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMGL0891-600x900.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.artesansdelsavalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMGL0891-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Project We are a family business dedicated to creating high quality products while staying true to the principles of our foundation;
